Common Questions

What insurance do you accept?

We accept most major medical plans, but it's always good to check with your insurance to make sure we're an in-network provider. If you're covered under a spouse, partner, or parent's plan, please know his or her Social Security Number and date of birth. We'll need both to file with your insurance.

When and how much do I need to pay for my pregnancy?

You will be informed of any and all expenses in a detailed maternity benefits explanation here in the office.

What if I need to reschedule an appointment?

We understand that plans change. So if you need to reschedule your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Please call us at 615.223.0200 to change your appointment.

Can you write me a prescription or refill?

To give the best diagnosis, we always see a patient before writing a new prescription. No medications, especially narcotics, are prescribed without a patient exam. If you're running low and need a refill, please call us at least 48 hours before you take your last dose.

What medications can I take?

Please refer to our Safe Medications List.

What if I need lab tests?

We have an in-house lab technician, so tests are easy to take care of during your appointment. Once we hear back from the lab, we'll call you with abnormal results.

For your pap smear results, wait 7–10 days, then call Associated Pathologists at 877.728.4837.

Is it safe to drive at the end of pregnancy?

Yes. As long as you can safely operate a vehicle, meaning you can see over the steering wheel and can turn to see all your mirrors, it is perfectly safe to drive right up till when baby arrives.

Can I fast during my religious holiday during pregnancy?

No. It is very important for you and your baby to receive the nutrition needed each and every day of pregnancy.
